about the founder
My name is Rosa, and I’m a litigation legal assistant with nearly 18 years of experience in the legal industry.
I began my career as a legal secretary in 2008, learning this role the same way many legal assistants do, on the job, under pressure, and often without clear guidance. Over time, I came to understand that being a legal assistant requires far more than organization. It requires judgment, anticipation, emotional intelligence, and strong professional relationships.
I work in litigation and regularly support attorneys through complex cases and trial preparation. I’ve helped set up war rooms, worked closely with courtroom clerks, coordinated vendors, and managed countless moving pieces behind the scenes. Through all of it, I’ve seen how essential legal assistants are to the practice of law, even when our work goes unseen.
Legal Elevator is the community I wish existed when I was starting out. A space where legal assistants could talk honestly, learn from one another, and feel supported as the industry evolves.
